District #66 was chartered August 26, 1981 in the city of La Crosse, WI by the IAM Grand Lodge.
The first year started with (5) locals; L.L.#21, L.L.#173, L.L.#1030, L.L.#1115 and L.L.#1771 followed by L.L.#2191 thirteen years later.
